This process may include obtaining a Section 504 Plan or an Individualized Education Program (“IEP”) with appropriate goals and objectives, in-class supports, in-class replacement, home instruction, vocational school, services until age twenty-one (21), or an out-of-district placement. We also handle disciplinary issues for special education and general education students, such as suspension and expulsion hearings as well as transition and placement matters. We also handle some criminal matters that involve students and young adults with disabilities. In addition, we work diligently when there is a violation of a student’s Constitutional rights or a breach in the administration of services by the school district, to obtain appropriate remedies including but not limited to, compensatory education, compensatory damages, reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses, expert fees, attorneys’ fees, and costs.
